Froth-camera measurement of flotation surface velocity — a live handle on flotation behaviour, rather than waiting for the next assay.

What it does

Smart Froth.

Bubble structure and surface velocity shift minutes before recovery does. With those signals as live process variables, the advanced controller can respond to the upset that's coming instead of the assay that reports it after the fact. Grade tightens. Recovery stabilises. Operators stop chasing.

Surface velocity — Dense optical-flow field — X/Y components, speed and heading in mm/s after pixel-to-mm calibration.
Bubble size distribution — D50, D90, and the full bubble PSD with configurable size boundaries.
Texture standard deviation — Froth-richness metric — the visual signal of pulp density and cell depth.
Deployment — Farneback dense optical flow with CLAHE preprocessing; 250 ms cycle time; edge inference, no per-cell licence.
